The ability of the muscles of the eyes that control focusing and eye aiming and movement, are checked for proper functioning.

Internal structures are evaluated also, such as the lens (for cataracts), the vitreous ( for floaters) and the retina, for tears and detachments, as well as diabetic problems are also examined.

Tonometry ( the glaucoma test) is also done routinely, and, of course, a refraction, to determine the patient’s glasses prescription.

Contact Lenses are also a large part of our practice. We fit all types of contact lenses, including bifocal contacts.
